Things to do in Barcelona. Different itineraries.

We already uploaded the 1 day Travel Guide around Barcelona, where we only get to see the basics. We took the hop on hop off bus tour but you can also follow the itinerary by feet.

Then we released the itinerary for 2 days in Barcelona by feet. You get to see more things other than the basics and the 3 days itinerary where we can cover even more things or you can take the 2 days itinerary in a more relaxed way.

Now with the  4 days in Barcelona Travel Guide I will encourage you to spend 1 Day Trip outside Barcelona or add some beautiful spots we only visit when we have enough time, because they are a bit far away from the city centre.

1) Go and visit the Labyrinth Park & the Tibidabo.

Labyrinth Park is a historical garden in the Horta-Guinardó district in Barcelona and the oldest of its kind in the city. It’s perfect for a romantic photoshoot, so if you are getting engaged or if you want to propose… call me!

Tibidabo is that huge “castle” we see on top of the mountain, from Barcelona city centre. It’s actually not a castle, it’s a church. to be more specific, is one church on top of another church. Plus it’s an amusement park with the best views of Barcelona.

Both of them can be reached by public transportation. The first one by metro with the green line L3 “Mundet” or a bus, and Tibidabo is a bit more complicated. It needs 3 means of transport: metro+train+fonicular. You can also take a taxi, of course, if your budget allows you (20/25€).

A good tip from a local will be: Go to Labyrinth Park on Wednesdays or Sundays when it’s free.

2) Go and visit Hospital Sant Pau & Diagonal Gaudí near Sagrada Familia

If it’s your 4th time in Barcelona but you still want to spend some time admiring Sagrada Familia from the outside, then take this beautiful pedestrian street called “Diagonal Gaudí”. It’s a 10minutes walk towards Hospital Sant Pau, the world’s largest Art Nouveau complex, as well as being the most important work by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the architect of Modernisme, the Catalan Art Nouveau.

3) Stroll along Poble Nou neighborhood close to the beach.

A lovely neighbourhood to wonder around in Barcelona is Poble Nou. It used to be a very traditional Catalan neighbourhood, and some parts of it still are. It has its own ‘rambla’ (esplanade), big old warehouses turned into modern tech hubs & art galleries. It’s here where hipsters, designers and start-ups have moved in.
